A road trip to the Southern California desert is not one that will soon be forgotten. It boasts both amazing landscapes and quirky roadside attractions. It truly has something for everyone. I find myself returning time and time again and each time discovering something new. The California desert is beautiful, unusual, and very Instagrammable!

I suggest renting a car for the weekend and driving from Los Angeles. Many of my favorite stops are just a little more than a two-hour drive from the city. Must-see stops include the Cabazon Dinosaurs, Joshua Tree National Park, Salvation Mountain, and Pioneertown. So, grab your camera and discover some of the most Instaworthy places in the Southern California desert!
